Sauce and Jay felt like contemporaries on the track while Beans and Bleek were warming it up for Jay to close
Jay always said that him and Sauce used to sit around and write together to see who could come up with the illest sh*t. And that Sauce was the one that pushed him to step it up lyrically way back when they were working with Jaz.

Jay and Sauce was dope lyrically, but their partnership came a lil bit before modern production. They got some tracks over fire beats but they got a lot of songs on low quality and /or wack production.
Jay and big didn’t really bring the best out of each other imo. They trying to ‘outfly’ each other. Hard to compare Daddy where you been to ‘Love the dough’
Partly why I think Big is a little overrated overall
Doesn’t have the vulnerability of the other goats.

Beans was on Jay ass (pause) on them heartfelt records...Why you think Nas took the "and compared to Beans you wack" angle on Ether? Bleek was Jay lil man, Beans was a problem.

This is true.
Beans was no joke on the heartfelt tracks. He knew how to bring that emotional and vulnerability out without compromising his cool. I wish bro would've stayed on course. I always thought dude was gonna end up as one of the greats. Prime Beans was next level.

More than likely have been BIG if they had a chance to do more music together, so I had to go with Beans out of the choices.
Though not listed, Bleek, Kanye, Jeezy, and Ross would have all been great choices, as they all have classics with him.

In terms of chemistry, Sauce gave Jay his best duo
This is the song that made me a Jay fan. I liked some of his stuff and verses but I still hated on him. Pre Game converted me in full. I ran that verse back over and over.
