It's interesting because the roster today is so large but yet it feels like the main eventers are mid carders.

Because nobody really works their way up the card, 35 year old+ guys (2 of the last 3 US champs are 40+ and the IC champ is at least 35) who’ve been around 10+ years stay competing for mid card belts once they’re done fighting for the heavyweight title, and guys frequently get shots at belts for no reason whatsoever even after not being on tv for a while. The belts are treated like props, 50/50 booking, and the nonstop effort to make sure nobody becomes a star makes nobody feel like a main event quality guy.

I've felt that way since punk left, and that only pushing John Cena shyt was a big factor too. But that's all they've done bray, Kevin Owens, the shield, jinder, balor, etc. All these dudes are mid carders who got prematurely pushed and flopped because the middle heavy roster was :flabbynsick:. Then when they do get main eventers they have them feuding for secondary titles.

2013 easily. A very good year for the most part from top to bottom, especially the summer.

2016 is second and 2011 is third.

15 and 17 were good recently. 2011 wasnt good imo. The 2nd half of 2016 was GREAT with the brand split. Both shows were putting on great TV for the first six months.

13 was good but not as good as 15 and 17 imo

As many issues as 2014 had (awful rumble show, Wyatt and his crew being buried, Dean being booked bad enough to border on burial post shield, Cesaro getting buried, horrible pay per view to close the year “I wish you died in the womb”), wrestlemania was good and many of us assumed that Bryan would resume his push as top guy when ready to return from injury. Pretty sure the survivor series was good & DZ gave a great showing. We also didn’t have a horrible Roman, Corbin, or Alexa push that dominated the whole show yet. I vote 2014 by default since 2010-11 were peak super Cena/kill punk’s heat years & 2012-13 were almost as bad with that too.

2014 had a great Wrestlemania and looked like it could be a turning point to a new golden era, but the rest of the yr was pretty average for this decade. A few highlights here and there but not consistently good shows.

2016? Huh? The WM 32 year where Roman and Cripple H headlined or is that a different year? Only thing that stood out was Sasha vs Charlotte. .WWE was almost str8 up garbage that year. Miz was showing out too but that may be it. Natayla ate Nikki alive on the mic too during that feud on Smackdown...lol.

as a whole I'd say 2013, Punk/Bryan/Cesaro/Wyatt/Shield/Ziggler/Henry/Cena/Rhodes Bros giving weekly good-great matches all various shows and having some good storylines as well to keep up.

I'm a suck for Summer of '11 and look very fondly on that time even though they fukked it up, a lot of my favorites best runs happened during this time period.Summer of '13 was good as well, it used to feel like WWE would really turn things on June - Sept
