I ain't typical in my opinions, that's for sure. Damn proud of that too. :obama:

Gandhi WAS racist in his early life, up until about 1906 or so. What would you expect different from someone raised up in racist British schools in the 1800s? He was TAUGHT to think less of Black people. You want him to ingest some magic good-person pill where he understood that racism was wrong just naturally in the 1880s? He was more progressive than other Indians and certainly more than White people at the time but he was still ignorant regarding the folly of his own racism.

It took time and effort for Gandhi to stop being racist. He didn't really stop being racist until he saw the nobility and bravery of the Zulu people in war, read a book called Race Prejudice that was one of the early anti-racist books and convinced him that racism was wrong, and befriended Black South African freedom fighters like John Dube. By 1908 he was regularly corresponding with W.E.B. DuBois and Marcus Garvey, by 1911 he was setting up anti-racism conferences with DuBois, by the 1920s he was writing for African-American newsletters encouraging their freedom fight and telling his Indian audiences that he would refuse to ever partner with White Britain unless they supported freedom for their African colonies too. He straight up said that if Indians were to gain an advantage and get their rights in South Africa, but it came at the expense of Black people's rights, then Indians should give up that advantage. At the moment of his death every damn freedom fighter in Africa was calling him a hero and a role model to Black people, and they knew a LOT more regarding Gandhi's views towards Black people than you or I ever will.

Gandhi was anti-racist for the last 40 years of his life. People can change. And that's the whole point. Do you want people to change to become anti-racist like you, or do you think that we should change to become racist like them?

You gonna have to explain this better because it makes no sense to me.

What do you mean by "excuse" the "good" Asians/Arabs/etc. Excuse them for what? How you gonna excuse someone who ain't done nothing wrong?

And no, I am NOT talking about only dealing with racism on an individual level. If you ever seen any of my posts on here you know that I'm deep in the struggle and I'm certain the evil of White Supremacy is large and structural. But you don't fight evil by acting evil. How you gonna solve racism on the structural level by acting racist on the individual level?

Exactly! You support those who support you! So if she's supporting the Black community, then why not support her?

Hate on racist Asians all you want. But don't hate on some random Asian just because other Asians are racist. That's basically :cape: for racism itself, saying that it's valid to judge their whole race by the actions of some of them just like the racist ones of them judge everyone else by the actions of a few. If it's wrong when they do it, why do you think it'll become a force for good when you do it?
If you want to intermingle with Asians thats fine i couldnt care less about any of them really even the "cool" ones fukk em all:yeshrug:thankfully i dont have to interact with them if i dont want to.

Man I have NEVER seen black people working in any Asian owned businesses anywhere I have been, yet black people are about to give an Asian a prestigous state Senate seat in a black dominated area :mjlol: God damn when are we going to stop hustling backwards? It's not about not being racist, it's about not being generous to people when that generosity is not reciprocal.
I have, the Asian lady up the street has black women managing and running her shop when she's not there. I actually met the lady and she's really cool.

We'll probably be an underclass for the rest of America's existence. Most black didn't support MLK or the civil rights movement and Harriet Tubman had to kill other black people when trying to free enslaved black people because they thought she was wrong and didn't see anything wrong with the enslaved black people's condition.

It just hurts me to see blacks so used to being an underclass that they have twisted into some good thing about being morally upright, open minded and peaceful. No you’re just the whipping child of other races.

And it’s not just AAs. Africans are on some BS too. We’ll both be long dead before we ever see a successful black nation. Doubtful it will happen honestly. Blacks are docile and proud of it. Smh

It's a very simple rule, if you want it to change, when you have the opportunity to make the right decision, you make it. That's what successful people do don't they?

Something similar to this in the "posters who voted for Trump thread."

In this case, you have an Asian politician with Black folks' best interest at heart, with a proven track record of being in the community and helping out, straight up going into places nobody else has prior, going up against another politician who is being shady and seems like she's all talk.

People in this thread have seen her with their own two eyes go into the community to help where no other politician has before her.

The decision should be apparent. But people are thinking with their skin and not their brain.
