Not to get my @PhonZhi on but a big reason the older generation was bout it is because the leaders/voices/public speakers were bout it. So it was nothing for them to follow suit. Nowadays who is really out there? Rappers are our youths leaders, I guarantee you if a Drake/Jay or somebody big said /did something the youth would follow.

ESPECIALLY rappers. Can u imagine if these rappers (who the youth are HIGHLY influenced by) started making things like education, group economics, being a providor for our women & children seem COOL? These entertainers have such a platform that its a gift. If they had the mindset to use that gift for the betterment and progression of the black community, i guarantee a change in our mindstate would occur. Of course, other factors would have to fall in place but that would definantly help. And that is the reason why hiphop culture was INTENTIONALLY MANIPULATED to where its at now. They saw how powerful and influential the genre had become in the early 90s. It could have been a weapon FOR us, but instead its a detriment being used AGAINST us. You are aware The God Poster.
