I'm glad the police in the UK don't carry guns(usually), dude would have got beat to fukk with truncheons but at least he would be alive
anyway, I do wish the police would use more non-lethal ways of stopping people. but I'm not sure tasers are the answer, since they seem to be ineffective (they miss, hit clothing, etc, or just don't have much effect on some dudes), abused (used on children, etc), or possibly lethal (they have cause heart attacks)

I remember this story a couple years back. This man wasn't black. Police have a long history shooting mentally disturbed people who have weapons(knives) drawn. Imo, it's fair game. Please don't make this story into a black / white thing......

Only difference is one event was spur of the moment and the other had been called in, thus why there were a plethora of cops.....
If anything this case is worse, breh was in a "Karate" stance ready to charge the police. Meanwhile the guy in Seattle barely got to turn around before he was shot.
Not to mention, a few minutes prior the guy was being disruptive in a liquor store, probably waving his knife, threatening people.
you think cops are going to do if somebody yields a knife in front of them. I thought this classic 101, things you should never do....
Better yet, say you have a gun, and some mentally disturbed,unresponsive person, yielding a knife, threatens your life, wtf are you going to do if breh takes a charge at you.
It's not like this guy was causal walking somewhere, minding his business then bam got popped. This guy was being an endangerment to society.....
cmon breh stop it. What the point of having non lethal weapons if the police aint going to use them? How much of a risk was that man that 40 bullets had to be unloaded into him (most after he was on the ground, DEAD), that the cops had to RELOAD? Thats not self defense breh. i counted at least 5 cops, so that means each of them had to shoot that man at least 7 times breh. Thats the type of shooting you would do if a bear was chasing you down, not some crazy homeless dude with a knife.
I could think of a lot more dangerous situations that dont require 5 cops to shoot an unarmored target 7 times at point blank range. Its not like dude was lunging towards anybody, from what i saw all he did was turn towards a cop and he got annihilated.

All those cops belong in a John Woo movie. Do they even do psych evaluations anymore? You fire your gun you gotta give it up and IAD takes a look at the situation to make sure it was clean?
