This incident occurred on Sept 2, 2019 My wife was driving our dodge Dakota, it did not yet have tags and is an older truck. I was driving my dodge ram van, which is also older and the tags are expired. We were pulled over in Trenton, Dade county on HWY 59. The officers pulled my wife over and I stopped about 20 to thirty yards ahead. Upon calling my wife and hearing the conversation with he officer it becomes clear that he is taking her to jail. Her license is suspended due to an insurance violation in East Ridge TN, but we were unaware of this at the time. I pleaded and begged for the officer to have mercy and not arrest my wife on as we were coming back from a holiday. I asked for her to be allowed to turn herself in later and let us get our children home. He told me if I didn’t shut up and stick my head in the can he would arrest me. I asked again several times for him to have mercy and not arrest my wife. This is when he approached my vehicle, asked for my license, which he looked at and did not run. He then told me to step out of the vehicle to be arrested. I asked on what charges and he refused to answer. I responded that I cannot leave my children unattended. This is when the video starts. After the video ends I am tazed, and arrested in front of my children. We are all taken to the dade county jail, where my wife is released the same day, but I am released two days later.
