I understand if it you got drugs or alcohol in your system. Especially if someone ends up hurt or dead from the crash. Don't know how it is in Dallas, but in Missouri it used to be even if you were under the legal limit if alcohol was detected in your system and someone died from the accident they could hit you with involuntary manslaughter.
