Just read the story now, the dumb brick head had the chance to give back the two vinyls of some random queer artist to her neighbor and didn’t :mjlol:

We're told the owner had purchased two limited-edition Chappell Roan vinyls from Urban Outfitters ... and attempted to resolve the issue with Kearney, Rice and their apartment complex leasing office in hopes of getting the items back -- with no luck.

TMZ are not the ones saying that she is stealing it is the cops that charged her, and TMZ released the video of what the police is basing it on :dahell:

I'm really trying to figure out if my words aren't clear or something.

My brother, my nikka, comrade, homie...
I Am Saying. This is either an active investigation or this just happened.

No one should be able to sell a tape where someone might be prosecuted for a crime. Or is being prosecuted for a crime
And no one should be able to show that tape to the public.
Those things should be crimes.
Because u are tainting public perception, even though this person hasn't had their day in court.
Which could hurt a persons reputation if found innocent later and even hurt finding an unbiased jury pool.

I say this same sht everytime. I have no clue why they haven't cracked down in this.
And the public doesn't care because they just like gossip and being in people's business.
But when it happens to them, they are going to care

The worst thing about this situation is the owner of the packages tried to keep it quiet and she wasn’t coherent enough to give it back to avoid charges

Bro. Read my post again, please.

We can't have an intelligent conversation if nikkaz reading comprehension is lacking.
Respectfully.
And u negd me smh

Hit me back
Sure…

It’s a doorbell camera. Someone probably sent it to TMZ before they told their neighbor/police. Those cameras are owned by private citizens, not the police.

What you're saying is not unclear. I guess what I'm having a hard time understanding is what is ambiguous about someone taking a package from in front of my door/my porch. It has my name on it.

This isn't the Michael Irvin talking to someone in a hotel bar situation. That was ambiguous as we couldn't hear what was being said but we saw footage.

I think everyone agrees that people deserve due process. No one is debating that.

You have an issue with the video being released to the public. Is your issue just that it was released before any arrest or court date, or that it MAY have been sold?

There is almost always information out there before someone goes to court. If there was a shooting at a gas station that was caught on film and needing the public's help to identify those committing the crime, is that wrong as well?

Ok cool. I'll take a video of u speaking to my niece and tell my TMZ this is a video of you sexually harassing my niece.
They'll have ur name and face all over the internet by the start of the business day.
No trial, no explanation. Nothing

Come on, this is absolutely absurd.

If you had a video, then you would likely have audio in that situation as you said if you TOOK a video of someone speaking to your niece. It would be clear as say. Even if there wasn't audio, people will likely be more willing to not jump to conclusions there compared to this other situation.

Rice's mom is on film.....in front of a neighbors door.....taking packages that aren't hers. That is almost as open and shut as it gets. If she opens it and realized it wasn't hers (benefit of the doubt), then she should have brought it back. This is absurd to even debate this.

I agree people deserve due process and I don't like when public perception gets tainted, but this situation isn't the hill to die on.

Thank you brother.
But
No... they are debating due process.
Because that's my point and nikkaz are saying they don't care. Shes a thief.

The bolded is not the case here and is generally not the case when it comes to TMZ.

My issue is all the things u said in ur second paragraph.
If the POLICE have a tape and they need help finding a suspect then they have that right. Because a tape of a crime is evidence.
And no one is making a profit off of police evidence. The owner or a celeb gossip site.

People are selling evidence of alleged crimes and TMZ is putting it out to the public. This is the opposite of due process.

Sht even if the authorities were to broadcast some piece of evidence to the public, that has nothing to do with trying to find a suspect.
It would look suspect as if they are trying to use the public to convict somebody.

To the bolded. This is the thinking that has to stop.
Everyones rights are important and we shouldn't bend them for any reason.
Even if u think that u know what u saw on a tape. And it's ok in this situation to put it out to the public, there are rules and a process we must follow. Because if u don't then we'll start bending the rules in other situations that send innocent people to jail. Because of perception.
We are already pass that point tho

But to ur first point.
"people will likely be more willing to not jump to conclusions there compared to this other situation"

Would u be willing to bet your freedom on that statement?

The process in every situation and case should be treated the same.
We can't pick and choose.

No matter how we feel. That's what due process is.

Black people of all people should understand this the most.

I'm saying all this as a person that grew up in NY during the central park 5 case.

I just believe there's a world of difference between the examples you're using and video footage of someone going to my door and porch and taking something that does not belong to them.

Forget the example brother.
Just to keep it simple.
Is this video not criminal evidence.
Shouldn't criminal evidence be solely in the hands of the police?
