Easy answer. Most people of this forum seen the movie as kids.
Now that they grown, they act/assume they remember every movie they ever seen to the T

Reality is, now that your older. There is more stuff in those movies you was too young to understand. shyt that is hilarious, but would go over a kids head
So if you go back to watch, it will be like a new movie except for the story
The story will stay the same... And Lieutenant Hightower will still be gone

Looking back, the shyt that was marketed to kids in the 80's was fukking crazy.

Police Academy was essentially an R rated film with with nudity and all kinds of profanity and adult subject matter.....and they made a fukking kids cartoon show based on it.

Robocop was a violently gory film and they made videogames, cartoons and kids toys based on it.

First Blood was another crazy violent film that ended up getting a Saturday morning cartoon.

Can you imagine if they made a cartoon about something like Inglorious Basterds or Attack the Block.
