they gonna learn this time around for sure. Especially after Legends. Nobody wants to go back to that formula, but to advance on the Legends one.

I don’t mind the typical gym leader to Poke master gameplay, but give me something to do other than fetch quests or simple ass puzzle. I’m not asking for FF7 remake but these games can be so much more.

Day one. I love sword and shield and skipped Diamond/pearl and Arceus.

good choice imo. only purpose for diamond is for the national dex and the shyt ain't even connected to home. arceus is nah overall, for me

The traditional style is never gonna go away. Especially considering how big the brand and especially the anime which the mainline games ties into. We will probably see more spinoff games like Legends tho.

feel you especially with the competitive side which it seems they're doing an in person even soon for competitive pokemon. If they can transfer that to Legends style, then... yeah.

I get it Pokemon has also always been about connecting people but damn, something has to give. We'll see how the gameplay mechanics and what's going on with the Dex. because Pokemon company is gonna trend again for all the wrong reasons and I think the sales gonna dip from 16mill plus to 10 if they ain't careful.

Legends playstyle will never overtake the mainline series. They not gonna just throw away the competitive aspect of the series.

But Legends should and probably will become it's own side series and they can continue to refine that games playstyle.
