Exactly. I posed the same question to another poster that i wont name and he literally admitted that he couldnt. T.I rapping "sending bullets thru ya car door", Migos talkn bout their "100-round drums", Wayne and Young Thug shouting out their gang ties, Future,Pusha-T and Pharrell telling young black youth to "move that dope", Bobby SchMURDA(dude has "murder" in his name for christ sake) rappin bout "catching bodies", Fetty Wop glorifying cooking up dope with his female accomplice, 2chainz and Nikki Manaj referencing "percocet" and "promethazine" and i could keep going. This is the MAJORITY of the content aimed at the youth and cats dont find anything wrong with it. We are the only race that allows such negativity to be promoted.
Rappers of other races who have been successful in Hip Hop have indeed rapped about violence and drugs. They were "harming" and exposing their own race and culture to the violence and drugs they rapped about. The most relevant white rappers rap about drugs and violence. Same goes for rappers of other races.
Usher always posing and posting on twitter..hes accessible, but we dont tell him off, right?
Have't read the whole thread but I always why you americans don't fukk with positive/socially uplifting music.
Can u post some of these recent mainstream songs here in America by "other" races that glorify murder, selling dope, and gang affiliation? Ive never heard any besides EM of course. He's not getn play rite now tho. Matter fact he's been on that motivating, uplifting tip the past few years.
In regard to Eminem, his verse on "Detroit vs. Everybody" isn't motivating or uplifting. In fact the lyrics contain everything, but selling dope.
