At the very least, it was pointless. The fact that in was intertwined with Frank Trigg's pointless TNA run (Sabin lost the title due to Trigg turning heel and joining Aces and Eights for about two weeks before disappearing) didn't help matters.
Sabin immediately went back to the X-Division after this.

That Christian run was bullshyt. It was a perfect win, ladder match, celebrating with Edge etc, and then he lost it right away. Seemed like Vince just saying ''well he got the title stop complaining''
