Current rotation based on the most appealing part of the podcast:
Witty Banter
Witty Banter
- Stuff You Should Know - Deep dive into random topics. Wittiest hosts that I know and they take lots of conversational tangents. The only podcast I've seen live outside of Desus & Mero years ago
- Checks and Balances - This is an Economist Podcast that digs into a weekly topic and has a quiz at the end of every week. All the hosts have acerbic wit
- Pod Save America - I only listen on Tuesdays because it has Jon Lovett. He's a comedian masking as a political strategist.
- Ebro in the Morning - Most people only come across them based on their celebrity interviews where they kinda phone it in. Their normal show is amazing. Varied perspectives and discussions on race/hiphop/black/pop culture meshed in between the shenanigans, including the cast dealing with the hotep anti-vax sound board engineer Shani Kulture.
- Juan EP is Life - Witty banter. Interesting seeing Cipha Sounds pivot away from hip hop and towards comedy. He is better at comedy than I expected.
- MarketPlace - This is my new favorite daily podcast. Focus on the economy in a digestable way. Often interviews small business owners to see how they're faring. I'm talking black-owned therapy practices, breakfast and bed spots, antique sellers, etc. He also has the pull to get Janet Yellen and other big names on the show as well.
- The Economist - Global perspective on current affairs.
- AirTalk w/ Larry Mantle - Local California radio show. I don't even live in Cali but the curiousity of the host is endearing and the call in portions are great to hear different perspectives, especially the apolitical topics
- The Daily - 30 minute deep dive into the pressing topic of the day (NY Times)
- Consider This - A shorter deep dive into the pressing topic of the day (NPR)
- Saxo Market Call - A overarching daily view on the global financial markets. Outside of the main host, everyone has a thick accent which adds to its global credibility lol. Less about trading or the economy and more about how all the pieces relate to each other
- Dateline - Hear about a murder and guess who did it along the way
