I don't think women have ever looked like Barbie at any point in history. Barbie's a doll...just like women don't look like those Bratz dolls with the oversized heads...or like those new Zombie dolls. I really don't think Barbie is supposed to represent reality...people are reading too much into a doll. They have different dolls in the Barbie family - that have different looks...but Barbie is Barbie...she's unrealistically proportionate, blue eyed and blonde...that's Barbie.
so white women don't idolize the barbie in america? :usure:I even know white girls that put on makeup like this shyt, then u got Nicky Minaj doing the same, even calling her fans barbs and kens. Believe it or not women do wanna look like this and that was the first woman other than their mom they idolized. I even see women on tv get surgery to look like these shyts, models etc.

No idea! But I like this Barbie more - she looks like she works out and stays fit...I think that's a much healthier look to promote.

I never wanted to look like Barbie...I had the dolls...some were blonde, others brunette, I had a black Barbie and the redhead one...Midge. For me, Barbie never represented a look I was trying to achieve. I think photoshopped models in magazines are more dangerous than a doll...but yes, some people are nuts and try to get surgeries to look like Barbie (or Ken - like that dude who spent all that money trying to look like the Ken doll!)

I agree with the brehs and brehettes that say this is not the image to show...I agree that the anorexic barbie is ridiculous and racist, but to have an obese barbie is really promoting obesity as normal, which is not for the many health reasons that are associated with it. I don't care about the looks part, but we need to be trying to save lives and get people away from the corporations fattening us up and takign our money while killing us with their toxic food
I feel like people are going to be fat regardless of a doll being overweight or not. Fat people know they are unhealthy but like a drug addict they cant stop eating regardless of the consequences. Fat girls have been playing with barbie dolls for decades and that didnt make them lose any weight. I feel like its the parents job to promote health, not a toy company. Dolls should come in all shapes and sizes because people in this country come in all shapes and sizes.

hahaha exactly and forgive me for making it like all women try to do this, but many do. The obese doll is needed tbh the rate is increasing so why not? :datazz: i likem thick anyways

That's very true, but dolls do come in different shapes and sizes....Barbie is Barbie though...she's a skinny, no ass, no titty, no vagina-having blonde chick. I don't think Barbie should be altered...just other dolls should be more accessible, that represent different cultures, sizes, etc.
