Season 8 killed my interest in rewatching the series and the near two year gap between the finale and today has killed my interest in anything upcoming.

If one of them is a great show I'll give it a shot but it's not a day one.

He got chewed out for years before A dance with dragons was released because he kept making promises he couldn't keep. He's likely working just slower and more indulgent than usual.

If TWOW isn't released by the end of Winter 2023 then it's fair to say he quit on the series.
