I see the Lamar comparison because they're both laid back lefties with handle and love to pass. People forget how good LO actually was. I hope Simmons has a little more killer in him though.

Only somewhat similar, he's closer to Odom than he is to Bron, the first 30 or so games of Bron's career he played PG before being moved to SF. With Simmons, it's hard to say whether or not he's going to be a PF or SF when he gets to the league, a lot of his strengths come from being matched up with guys that can't check him at the 4.

Well the thing is that LO would rather shoot the ball when it's swung to him, and Simmons seems prefer going to the block when his name is called to score, which I don't know LO to do (but I only watched him on the Lakers). I'm just saying you can't sweat people who would compare him to Bron just because Bron is an all-time great, when they play a similar game.

His natural position on a NBA roster is the 3 and he can play small ball 4 against certain teams, because when it's time to bang against guys like Faried or a Blake Griffin then he will get killed. Hope he goes to the East too many top prospects end up on a team in the west.
