why aren't there prominent black jewelers out there?
chris aires had a lil buzz back in the day but it seems like he came and went

I'd imagine it's due to lack of networking and supply. I can't imagine any way that it'd be easy to get into the same supply circles as some of the more established names. And even then, breaking into their clientele is probably tough, too.

I can only speak to the black people I grew up with..

But the ones I know were dumb with money.. :yeshrug:

Parents migrated from the south in the 60s, worked and paid off a home, then left it to their kids when they moved back south to retire..

Them kids fcked that blessing up by refinancing the home to get material shyt.. nikkas from my own family have done this goofy shyt as well..
I knew a family that destroyed the house. They never fixed nothin, wouldn’t put no insurance on it or pay the taxes. Not even 5 years after they parents moved back down south the house was tore down.

True. These rappers getting custom made diamond flooded pieces.Sure it looks cool but it depreciates. It crazy to think over the years at about how many of these jewelers these rappers done made rich.
