it can def be done with lots of research and finding a gem, but nowadays sharing income is how most average folks are doing it
60k is ok if you live outside of the top 30 cities, low debt and no kids
Like someone said, the catch is not what you make, but how much you keep/pay yourself plus, the skills you gain from employement. If you’re making 80 but not growing professionally, don’t be upset 10 years later when you’re making 88 and stuck because you didn’t gain an additional skill sets

I promise you a good bit of the populace isn't making 60k. Individually. A couple making 45k a piece is at 90k for the household however.
Money management is an issue that needs more attention.
