I expected a bit more for a showcase event like this. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of games I'm excited about but not a whole lot of surprises.

I found some of the Indies interesting, the Devolver storybook one, the boarding one from the Journey team, look good.

Spiderman 2, Alan Wake 2 and Dragons Dogma 2 all looked great but we knew about them. Metal Gear Solid being back is great news as well.

PSVR 2 got taken out back and shot during this show lol damn

I've posted in here that this was a very enjoyable show, and showed off a bunch of stuff I'm most likely going to buy for my PS5.

It's only a certain part of the crowd that couldn't wait to try to sour the occasion with unnecessary pettiness.
Yes which is why there’s probably like 50 mentions of xbox in this thread.

But you missed all those and wanted to zero in on one post by @The Mad Titan hoe shyt as usual :ehh:

I loved this showcase. Fanboys are weird....for a while people were complaining that while Sony brings the third person, single player, story driven hits, they don't have the indie output and focus that Xbox did. Thus showcase had a little bit of everything for everyone and my fellow Sony brehs seem disappointed:dahell:
Phantom Blade looks fukking wild. Dragons Dogma 2 is worthy of a showcase by itself. fukking Cat Quest and the Plucky Squire even looked great :skip:

Naw they needed to show some more first party off after two years. Sorry, but 3rd party games a lot of times just don’t compare to sony first party

They got nothing to show. Pandemic ate those two years up. People assumed they were holding out for some big show, but naw, this is what they got right now :manny:

They really talked that good shyt about innovation to pull up with a Wii U gamepad spinoff, I thought that shyt was about to be a PS Switch :mjlol:

Metal GOAT Solid 3 remake is multiplat. :blessed:
PC brehs eating immediately, though I'd be willing to wait for this one for sure.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but I heard some hype about the games announced. Good for y'all. :obama:

I felt the same. While I get not having as many big Sony 1st party studios present could be disappointing to those looking specifically for that, I liked what I saw too much to think that it was a bad showing. There was at least 10 games that I'd never seen before until today, with only like 2-3 of them that I knew of going in were to be shown, the rest I'd not even knew of their existence. Out of everything I did see, only a small handful didn't at least intrigue me a bit. My only real grip outside of missing a few currently unknown Sony 1st party development show something was the 3-4 games that only showed cgi/no gameplay footage at all. I get why MGS didn't, but the other few could't not even shown up tbh. I'd rank it about an 8/10 for the overall showcase. There was quite a bit for everyone there really. And me being the type of gamer that I am meant that a lot of that shyt was for me.

I said it at the start of the gen “exclsuives” would be few and far between,

It just doesn’t make sense to lock your game down to one platform anymore, even for a big up front check. If you want the game to be “exclusive” you pretty much need to own the content going forward.

Only ones still willing to hoe themselves out for a check is square, and that shyt ain’t working for them either.

Sony stans gone have to find a new angle to stan. “exclusives” ain’t it anymore:wow:

This is something a lot of folks still continue to conveniently forget, one way or another and how much it effected the gaming industry at large and still will for another 2-3 more years, I'm sure.
