I know your a ps3 stan but damn you need to calm down. I got both systems so w/e breh. But...

Its going to have lag when its online, every game does. So the beta has 6 characters, and 3 are your favorite :aicmon: It looks exactly like smash bros and will play just like it, its the same damn design. Ya its going to feel diffrent, cuz the controls are diffrent :rudy: I like how you said it dont play like smash bros, but it has some aspects of smash bros?

Lastly, you aint talking to no devs, you prolly sent feedback or someshyt and you got a generic response from an automatic system like "Thanks for your input, we appreciate your concerns" :stopitslime:

:deadrose:

That nikka read "thanks for your response" and turned it into "The dev's already heard my cries :to:"

I have both systems too breh.

Yea having lag is inevitable. Lag is something that occurs often in some games moreso than others. I say for what I've played so far, the lag is negligible and button delay is nonexistent. Button delay is usually something that turns me off when it comes to playing fighting games online.

Let me put it like this. The game is inspired and has some design similar to Smash bros but it is different in other ways. For example, in smash brothers the premise of the game is to knock your opponent off the stage period. You don't knock people off the stage in this game, you have to build up your AP meter and then unleash your super on them to get a kill. There are three levels of supers and depending on the circumstances, you can either save up for a level three super which is the cool cinematic super or a level 1 or 2 super which can get a few kills if you pull it off at the right moment.

In smash brothers the higher your or the enemies percentage is, the farther you fly when attacked thus making you unable to string together combos at high percentages. In PASBR, there is no percentage meter and the dynamic of the match is to get attacks in to get your AP meter up. Also each attack has it's own effect. If I press square square triangle with Kratos he does the two blade swings and slam like he does in God of war. Radec himself has no comparable character in smash bros because there isn't any who plays like that using long range weapons without combos. He has mostly moves that you can string together to get a nice combo but he's not melee orientated.

You can't do button sequences like that in Smash brothers because you only can smash attack or do a special move with a direction. This game you have to figure out how to do combos to get the edge in battle.

Only thing it shares in common with Smash is the overall concept and aesthetics... Execution wise they perform differently.

Lastly, you aint talking to no devs, you prolly sent feedback or someshyt and you got a generic response from an automatic system like "Thanks for your input, we appreciate your concerns" :stopitslime:

Game devs often post on Neogaf forums. Clockwork(Well respected fighting game player in the community) posted this:

Combos! Hitstun is static in PASBR, so combos are consistent given positioning and situation, though of course most attacks will produce a different reaction if connected on an aerial opponent. Some attacks are cancelable, some will chain together, and others can be linked together, all of which serve as a foundation for the combo system.

Adding to this are launcher-type attacks, juggles, throws, wall bounces, and crumples/dizzies, among other things. Furthermore, some characters are combo-heavy while others not so much, so if you're not a combo person, don't fret! We got you!

We're hard at work on polishing as we speak, and that of course includes the UI and SFX. The UI shown thus far is meant to be temporary, so you guys can expect to see a complete overhaul soon!

These mechanics don't exist in smash thus why I always say "It isn't like smash" :troll:

Sony hired several fighting game community legends to work with Superbot on this game with them. Ed Ma, Maj, Clockwork and Seth Killian from capcom are all working on this. This isn't being developed by some no name joe blow company. I trust these guys.

Games delayed til Nov. 20th

Hello PlayStation Nation. As you know, we at SuperBot have set high benchmarks for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Our goal is to deliver a fun, well-balanced, and compelling gameplay experience that pays homage to all of these incredible characters.
We also know our fans have high expectations for this title, and to that end, we have decided to move the release date to November 20th, 2012 for North America (including Canada) and Latin America territories. This will let us spend more time polishing and tuning the game, and it will give us a chance to incorporate some of the great feedback we’re receiving from the current limited beta to ensure we are creating the best possible fighting game experience. While it is our greatest desire to put this game into the hands of our fans as soon as possible, we do not want to do so at the sake of quality. The additional time will be well worth the wait, and are excited to know that our fans will have the ultimate brawler in time for the holiday.
Keep an eye on GamesCom this week, as we’ve lined up some big announcements that we’re sure you’ll be excited about.
Thanks again for all of your support and understanding!

Hope they add more characters to the beta in the mean time

I'm actually happy they delayed it. More time to polish and tune up the game. :steviej: I heard they're updating the beta but Idk if with characters. I'd love to use Drake at least.

Edit: Gamescom tomorrow and they will be revealing a few more characters and info.
I expect Sackboy and Ratchet and Clank. Raiden's a possibility too as he was on a image that had him "holding hands" with Cole Macgrath.

Bruh, you literally didn't say a single thing here :russ:
A lot of people post on Neogaf, what does that have to do with anything?
A nikka post on neogaf and yall muthafukkaz wanna act like yall buddy buddy n shyt?
Like you sent those nikkaz a PM saying what you wanted changed?

As for them talking about changes period... the game is in the fukking beta stages right now. Its supposed to change for the better over time
The PROBLEM (and this is strictly a ps3 thing for the most part) is that nothing ever changes after there beta's. Really, they only have beta's because xbox has them to REALLY test out the kinks.
PS3 fans like yourself cried like little chick fil-a boycotters about not having the same shyt those on the greener side had.
Now you getting betas at the end of this gen, they promise you the world
Then what happens? What happens fatboi1?

What happened with Killzone 3 fatty? Did the dev's say they was gonna tweak it?
I could of swore you made a thread EXACTLY like this one where you posted mountain apon mountain of paragraphs detailing all the supposed changes that never came about.

The it happened again with Uncharted 3. They FINALLY make changes when?
Did they even happen yet? I know you made a thread with in the last 30days talking about these changes that are about a year too late.
So you can :umad: if you want to, just stop shoveling the same bullshyt sony been feeding you all this gen onto us.

We know you hope this game will be the shyt. But stop it bruh
Clockwork isn't this "well respected in the fighting game community" bullshyt you just said
nikka, I don't give a fukk what neogaf nerd c/s you pull out your ass.
I been a gamer for damn near 30yrs... clockwork doesn't ring bells nikka
And the respected gaming legends that helped make the game?
Because you can make a L shaped motion on a stick quicker than the next man doesn't mean you know a fukking thing about designing a good fun game.
If that was the case, little big planet would be #1 on everybodies list

fukk outta here fo I blast on yo ass (no homo) :bustback:

fukk it, might as well kill this fakkit right now...

I love the article you referenced at the end that was written by an blatantly and ignorantly probable Nintendrone.
"WhatÂ’s not so easy to fix at this point is the lingering question of why we need a Super Smash Bros. game full of characters that lack nostalgic appeal or charisma."
:skip:
:childplease:

Anyway moving on, I got the newest beta that came out last week thanks to a kind feller over on Neogaf that gave me a spare code.

The beta I have is for both the Vita and PS3. It's amazing how seamless and smooth the game is on the Vita because it literally looks to be hardly scaled down for the Vita. The online worked together with the PS3 and i was able to invite my friend who was on the PS3 and me using the Vita played with her with no problem.
