I think the game that they want the nba to play isn’t naturally his game. He’s always been a midrange slasher. So when nights where he can’t shoot, he does what everyone in the nba does now, keep shooting 3s or stop shooting altogether.
I think this run will be an experience for him where he needs to learn that if you’re going to go out, go out doing what you’re good at, slashing. fukk the coaches because they will make you die on that 3 ball hill. I think he needs to start seeing himself as a veteran and playing how he feels and asserting that style instead of doing what the coaches decide to a detriment.
That’s my opinion but I haven’t watched enough Houston games either.
