While Carti has questionable work ethic, the reason why he's been delaying the tape for so long is because he was trying to find a producer to be his partner in crime, like a Gucci and Zay or a Future and Metro. He was supposed to have this kind of partnership with MexikoDro, but he got mad that Mexiko was "giving away his sound."
