i think people forget carti has been evolving his sound every year
when he started he was rapping like three 6 mafia then changed into swag rap/hypebeast/curen$$y type rap

then came the soundcloud drug wave which he got big off of

Yeah, I don't get it..... He's always seemed like a low budget Young Thug. I know he has a following but I haven't heard anything that has made him unique or different than most of the other dudes in his category (thugger, Uzi, 21 Savage) . Even the people who likes him acknowledge that he has no lyrics.

So help me understand, I don't dislike him at all. I just haven't heard anything of his that stuck with me
