Pizza in the 1980s

Back in the day we only grabbed Lil Caesars or the local spot (Oliver's) for the crib, then Chucky cheese or major magics when we went out. Only time we had pizza hut was when we went on vacation , and I didn't have Domino's till I got to college

I don't know if it was the ingredients or my taste buds but Pizza Hut in the 80s was sooooooo good. I remember the thick buttery crust and the gang of cheese. They fell off.

Anyone remember Book It! from the 80's?

It was a reading program for grade schools. Maybe middle/high school too, not sure. Anyway, you read a book and do a small report. After that you got a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.
I stole the whole coupon book out of the teacher's desk. Was in Pizza Hut everyday like

Then they did something to the recipe and ruined it ni the late 90s. But for a while, I'd pick Tony's frozen pizza over any other pizza.

Sarpino's is the best when it comes to chains now though.

In the 90s we never had it delivered in my family or even when I got a bit older and starred going myself we would always eat inside the restaurant lol. My earliest memory is getting the 2nd episode of the XMen carton before it dropped.

had the pizza spot next door to my elementary school.. used to go there everyday for lunch... big azz slices for like 85 cents... fold that bytch in half, and have the hot cheese oil burn your palm.
when i used to go to beat street records on fulton st there was a hole in the walls spot that was banging.
and when we went to S Jerz to the beaches/boardwalks. that pizza was vanglorious

The cheese was different. More stringy. There's a place called Shakers Pizza that tastes just like Domino's did back in the day....If you live near Nashville, I know there's one near Cookeville.
