saw this with my nephs today. the oldest about to be around Riley's age, so was interested to see his reaction to the film.
overall, i think part 1 is slightly better, but this was solid, especially since it delves into those tween feelings in a way kids can digest/understand it.
(4 out of 5) This is a Pixar W. It didn't feel special, but as a standalone, it works. Pixar I think really did a good job portraying Teenage Adolescence and Anxiety. It's one of those films where it really works well you allow yourself to understand Riley, rather than the Emotions itself trying to control her.
shyt felt like it was running at 1.25x speed or something... I enjoyed that. nice quick movie. felt a little less sentimental than the first one. and pouchy don't come close to Bing bong.. all in all tho it's about on the same level as the first one, I wouldn't say better or worse. I guess this is the path Pixar is on now after them original ideas flopped.
speaking of, the one off ideas they crammed into "the Vault" were insane. There's more ideas there than most children's movies can come up with in a whole movie. pixar has some truly creative people there, hope they get a chance to make original things again
