JUst saw it.

De la Cruz did to Héctor was :scust:

The lay out of the day of the dead was amazing.

I did find sad when what’s his name was forgotten and hector took a shot of tequila.

The story line was top notch.

I’ve heard people say the movie is better in Spanish.

Just finished watching this. Dude was a scar level villain. He wasn't Scar, but gotdamn was dude an a$$hole. I'm trying to think where i fit him at villainy wise. It's understated, but my god was dude a shytty person. Film was good. Ya'll might disagree. Its not quite Wall-E or Ratouille level. BUT is was def dope. Maybe I just have a special place for those films. Def solid film. And Pixar on there A game is something to behold. You can tell they are about quality over quanitity.

Loved the visuals, the incorporation and explanation of mexican traditions and the guts it takes to do a movie about death for kids (also the importance placed on including and taking care of the elderly). Storyline could have been less conventional but overall an enjoyable movie.

I'm torn on this movie.

I'm with @TheGodling on the villain stuff. The film didn't need it because the story of family vs. your dreams has enough weight to carry a 100 min movie. However it truly was a fantastic looking film and I got like 2 small tears in my eyes at the end.

I remember people saying this would be the darkest Pixar film yet and the story would be the kid trying to get back to the land of the living but not make because he really did die. I would've loved to seen that movie.

Also, this thread has under 100 posts :sean_:
