I'll say this in defense of Brave, that movie I actually enjoyed more the 2nd time around. The main character reminded me of my sister, 'ol dare to be different' type of girl. Granted it was a little dark, but I thought the story was very original and like previous posters said it was very much a throwback to the disney movies of the 40's and fifties. It's underrated imo.

Cosign. The main girl and her family were fun to watch, and I connected to her relationship with her mother. Just a beautiful story and the message wasn't too heavy-handed.

I also appreciated the authenticity of using Scottish accents. Jarring at first, but it brought life to the dialogue.
