It's like everyone in this thread skipped over this video. The pit in that video is no rookie to a dog fight, notice how he made sure to keep his front legs out of the wolf's reach? Pits have a high threshold for pain(well, as far as fighting other dogs go), I've seen them get their legs broken and chest half opened and they still scratched. That pit has probably been bitten hundreds of times before, but noticed what happens as soon as the wolf got a hold of him? He instantly quit. He wanted no parts of it, he's never been bitten that hard before. The bite pressure and canines of the wolf is in totally different league. We're talking about bone crushing pressure, a jaw that's designed to rip the throats of much larger animals, and canines that are twice as sharp/long as the pit. It's also harder for the pit to get a good hold of a wolf due to wolf's coat. Once a pit gets a good hold it doesn't release, it just shakes. Notice how many times the pit had to let go to try to get a better hold? The pit wasn't doing any damage to the wolf, he was just muscling it around. Pits can't fukk with wolves, you'd have to be delusional to think they can, they have no advantage against a fukking wolf.
