Could the number of dogs involved in attacks listed below signal that these expanding policies -- which allow unlimited adoption, ownership, or keeping of Pit Bulls per household be influencing and changing the genetics of Pit Bulls -- and not in a good way?

I've said it before in another thread and I'll say it again these are some Resident Evil ass beasts

I don't match dogs but I gotta potna who has one of the more well-known kennels down here and he's been matching pits for over 20 years. Has had a number of grand champions.

Back in the day, and I mean back when matching pits was legal, if a dog showed aggression towards a human it was put down. The article speaks on that. The reasoning was those dogs had to be handled during their keep and in the pit during a match. They had to be separated by their owner/handler, set back on their lines, and made to scratch again. Then after the match they had to be handled so their owner/handler could see to their medical care if they weren't put down.

Now of course that's just technically speaking. If a dog was a moneymaker in the pit the owner would sometimes live with a human aggressive animal. There are stories of legendary dogs having to be brought to the pit by three different handlers each with a separate lead, pit referees having to keep a club with em in case a dog turned on him during a match.

Can't hate the dogs for doing what they've been bred to do when it comes to animal aggression, but the reality is 99% of people with pits shouldn't have them. I see people with multiple pits running free in apts, people taking pits to dog parks, just all kinds of silly shyt. And when you try to tell em better they always know everything.

They're fighting/working animals. I don't have anything against em but something is definitely gonna have to be done, if only to get them outta the hands of the general public.
