1997 and 1998 had dope jackets such as Tommy Sport, Avirex and etc. Thank goodness them wack wear brands have been done away with including the overly baggy clothing, I remember at one point everybody of all walks of life had a baggy suit.IMO 1998 was peak too. But yeah by late 99 or so it went down.

Not for nothin, but alot of those wack wear trends came from the South
'00's fashion wasn't really bad unless you followed the trends. The following combo was a bit excessive:
- platinum denim jacket
- matching platinum denim jeans
- braids
- rhinestone bandanna
- sterling silver chain (this was platinum if you could afford it)
- sterling silver watch (the Geneva's) with the fake stones
^^^ dominated 2000 and 2001. Petey Pablo, Mystikal, and CMR took that look to the limit. It got to the point where Jive had all their artists rocking the look including Nsync and The Backstreet Boys.
2002 was the throwback era. 2001 also saw people who never played baseball wearing full baseball uniforms out minus helmets and cleats. I mean gloves and all. I blame Diddy's "Let's Get It" for that.
2003 had people doing the "grown and sexy look" which pretty much meant button ups.
2004 until late 2008 was the white tee era. This evolved as the tees got longer and longer. Then there was the skinny jeans, skater look. Dreads also started to become dominant.
