Slavery was really not that long ago.. It ended in 1865 which is only 150 years ago! They also act like the civil rights was many moons ago when in fact, many of our parents or grand parents suffered through Jim crow, black codes, etc.

Don't forget about the projects(black families couldn't live in em if there was a father in the home), drugs and guns being funneled into our neighborhoods, the three strikes law and sentences being different for powder cocaine vs crack cocaine. The shyt never stopped it just morphed.
