picked up Crysis 2 for 10 bucks off Steam

after 10-20 minutes the game gets so choppy that it's unplayable. i got a 6870 in this bytch, i should be beasting with the performance.
the game has a black boarder around it when playing full screen mode.

i figured i was getting a good deal with that price but this shyt is pissing me off.

I picked it up yesterday for 10 bucks too. No problems so far. Running it on a gtx 560 ti.

a black boarder? that means you're not at your native resolution and not 'scaling' it up

you should definitely see what's going on with the updates. I'm not sure what that's about

Crysis 2 is pretty well optimized, but I wouldn't expect a 6870 to "beast" when you turn everything up

i'm not using nvidia, i'm using an ATI Saphire.

i don't have all the graphics turned up.
it seems that the patches are a problem though...but i got it through Steam so i think that the updates are automatic.

the 6870 is a decent card and is serving me well.
on a side note, i ran into the same staggering graphics with Crysis 1 using this card when i decided to play it again.

the driver is updated and all that.

The game doesn't give you choice it's linear as shyt. Maybe you're confusing it with Crysis 1 (the superior game).
