And in assuming a rounded 100b for the unit so that including tax you dropped about $275 today for a unit that plays 4k material....

Meanwhile

You can get the box for about 50 to 120 on average depending where you shop....and all content which there is TONS of content is free and if you have the right add on downloadable....thats why I say you got ripped off.

:

Its a digital world these days...physical copies mean absolutely dikk...they dont appreciate in value anymore...and you can resale...

Disc quality>streaming quality especially Kodi where barely any streams do surround sound :mjlol:

Even if I had the money to burn, I still wouldn't switch to 4K. I'll wait until it's developed completely.

I'll stick with blu for now.

The Movies I purchase, I make sure they are authentic 4K, there are some almost 4k and fake 4K movies out, and I make sure the movies I purchase has HDR10/DolbyVision it makes a difference.

You can lead a horse to water....be proud of your outdated purchase friend...also drop your hard earned money on movies you can literally get for free...:yeshrug:....its your dime breh....

It makes all the sense in the world to me, just consider me purchasing my movies legally helps to studio from prosecuting you...LMAO.

Don't be too biased against 2k finishes. I've seen a couple that are actually really good with more noticeable detail. Hacksaw Ridge comes to mind.

OP you need to get Pacific Rim. Nothing is on it's level when it comes to HDR. Trust me.

I'm talking about shyt filmed in 4K. I don't think they are there yet.
The movies I purchased I made sure they were filmed in 4k, hell a couple are filmed in 5k and 6k, that is why I said 4k, nearly4k and fake 4k. There is a sight and I go to some forums with videophiles who know all about this shyt and they give guidance.

Streaming is never better than the constant bitrate of a UHD Blu-ray disc

Most streams on Kodi are not true 4k, and are compressed to high heavens.

Guardians 2 was shot in 8k and if Disney doesn't join soon it will come out on standard blu-ray :francis:

I think Doctor Strange was shot at 5 or 6 as well . Shame

:mjlol: @ comparing streaming to owning discs. Anyone who has any home theater system is doing a disservice to it by streaming videos with terrible bitrate and no 5.1 support.
