That's bullshyt, Obama had zero name recognition compared to Hillary that was the only reason Hillary was ahead in polls, after winning the rural white vote in Iowa and defeating Hillary Obama became world famous overnight and black voters were solidly behind Obama from the go

Black voters and rural whites where the backbone of Obama campaign

What the fukk are you talking about? Blue areas in any state are urban areas. :heh:

Hilary's backbone were Latinos and "hard working whites" aka ethnic whites who's grand parents had flooded the U.S. And exploited racism to step on blacks on their way up

and I'm not talking about polls, I'm taking about actual votes where all voters were fully aware of the politics.

Hilary's got a lot of support from poor whites. Some who decided not to vote or vote republican cause they couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black president.

Of course Obama is a liberal so he was promising to give 11 million illegal immigrants a green card so of course they had no real choice but to vote for him

Latinos voted for Obama in higher numbers than they voted for Gore, Kerry, Dukkakis, Mondale, Carter and Clinton's first term. Man, Those Latinos sure have a strange way of showing their deep seated hatred. Boy.

Carter 56%
Walter Mondale 61%
Dukkakis 69%
Clinton 61%, 72%
Al Gore 62%
John Kerry 58%
Obama 67%, 68%

He also got overwhelmingly Latino support in battleground states, even Florida.

Obama carried Florida’s Hispanic vote 60% to 39%
Colorado, Obama carried the Latino vote by a wide margin—75% to 23%.
In Nevada, Obama won the Hispanic vote 70% to 25%.
Obama won 68% of the Hispanic vote in North Carolina, 65% in Wisconsin, 64% in Virginia and 53% in Ohio.

But any way, like I said, xenophobia is irrational by definition so I don't expect the numbers to sway you.

i just explained and proved in a post above what im saying

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Party_presidential_primaries,_2008

this map clearly shows that the whiter and more rural a state is the more likely obama won, and the more "diverse" it is the more likely obama lost, this is due to the fact of latinos not voting for obama

Hilary's got a lot of support from poor whites. Some who decided not to vote or vote republican cause they couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black president.

whats your point?

because obama promised to give 11 million illegal aliens green cards and citizenship, that is why he got so many latino votes

when the first significant black candidate since forever was in a life or death match in the primaries, that is when black people needed "black brown unity", not in the general, in the general the democrat was bound to win no matter what

What's the hell is a "rural State"? :heh:

What's the difference between Oklahoma and Idaho for instance?

because obama promised to give 11 million illegal aliens green cards and citizenship, that is why he got so many latino votes

They voted for Obama in larger numbers than any white president since Carter except for Clinton's second term and immigration policies for recent Democratic candidates are basically the same.

But like I said, facts don't matter to Psychopaths.

what do you mean what is a rural state? a rural state is a state that doesnt have large cities (relative to other states)

yes, it means states like idaho and montana

the obama campaign targeting rural states was what provided the margin in delegates to defeat hillary and to compensate for the ass kicking he got in "diverse" states like cali and new york

here is a good book to read if you want to know how obama won or if you dont believe me

The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory
David Plouffe

as far as the general, i already explained that obama had promised to give 11 million illegal aliens green cards and the whole democratic party including hillary and bill got behind obama, and unlike bush, mccain and romney were anti immigrant, that explains the large latino vote

but again, the general is not when we needed black brown unity, whichever candidate won the primiaries was going to win the general, we needed black brown unity when the black candidate was in a death match during the primaries

Strategy Was Based On Winning Delegates, Not Battlegrounds
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy...03/AR2008060304268_2.html?sid=ST2008060203207

The insurgent strategy the group devised instead was to virtually cede the most important battlegrounds of the Democratic nomination fight to Clinton, using precision targeting to minimize her delegate hauls, while going all out to crush her in states where Democratic candidates rarely ventured.

The result may have lacked the glamour of a sweep, but last night, with the delegates he picked up in Montana and South Dakota and a flood of superdelegate endorsements, Obama sealed one of the biggest upsets in U.S. political history and became the first Democrat since Jimmy Carter to wrest his party's nomination from the candidate of the party establishment. The surprise was how well his strategy held up -- and how little resistance it met.

"We kept waiting for the Clinton people to send people into the caucus states," marveled Jon Carson, one of Obama's top ground-game strategists.

Obama's team left Des Moines and fanned out -- to Idaho, to Alabama, to Alaska, places that had never seen a Democratic presidential primary campaign. The months ahead would have other key moments. The late-night standoff in Indiana last month deprived Clinton of a strong victory to offset her crushing defeat in North Carolina -- and ultimately left Obama's big delegate take intact. Edwards's endorsement of Obama on May 14 helped sap what momentum Clinton had from her landslide win in West Virginia the day before.

Among the states where Obama strategists worked virtually unchallenged by Clinton were Kansas, Idaho, Utah and Alaska, where Obama staffers used the Internet to reach voters in a district known as the Arctic Circle.

:heh:

Obama could win 100% of Latino votes and you would still wouldn't be satisfied.

Obama got more votes than any other white candidate going back to Carter. People don't show this kind of enthusiasm for people they hate.

And McCain was not anti-immigration. He always been to the left of his own party with immigration issues. he once proposed a guest worker program.

:heh:

You're a joke dude.

dam you are a pathetic poster

everytime i bring up facts and you find you cant dispute the facts you try to move on to some other distraction

i said mexico was a racist country that has a 500 year history of raping, enslaving and murdering africans, your response is nothing except saying a racist stamp issued by mexico is because of cultural misunderstandings and that you went to central america and met some good people :childplease:

you have not been able to contradict any facts i brought up

i said that obama won the nomination with the rural white vote and that the latino vote held him back #factsonly , thats all i said, i proved it, you have nothing to dispute my statement

what does me being satisfied have to do with anything, how does that dispute my statement?

Obama got more votes than any other white candidate going back to Carter. People don't show this kind of enthusiasm for people they hate.

what is this suppose to mean?

what does the general have to do with latinos not voting for obama in the primary? in the primaries is when it really mattered

And McCain was not anti-immigration. He always been to the left of his own party with immigration issues. he once proposed a guest worker program.

left to his own party doesnt mean anything, he wasnt left to obama
during the 2008 primaries mccain had shifted to the right

well lets see what google has to say

John McCain, Republican weather vane on immigration
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...ccain-republican-weather-vane-on-immigration/

By early 2008, McCain had distanced himself from any broad-scale immigration reform effort that included a path to citizenship; "No, I would not, because we know what the situation is today. The people want the borders secured first," he said at the time.

so obama was promising 11 million green cards, mccain was promising more border control

so again, google and reality contradict you, and google and reality says everything ive said is factual, both romney and mccain were anti immigrant and obama was pro immigrant #factsonly , that explains the large latino vote

mexico is a racist country with a 500 year history of enslavement, raping and murder of africans #factsonly

by the convoluted, desperate and erratic nature of some posts in this thread its obvious some people are suffering through the cognitive dissonance of confronting the reality that latin america is just as racist against black people as the united states and that latin america has a very similar history of enslaving, raping, murdering and oppresing africans, just like the united states

Here are some nuggets from the article you posted.

But then, after winning the GOP nomination, McCain again said in July 2008 that he would push for comprehensive reform, telling the National Council of La Raza: "I do ask for your trust that when I say, I remain committed to fair, practical and comprehensive immigration reform, I mean it. I think I have earned that trust."

To say that he is anti-immigration is down right deceptive. He has roughly the same immigration policies as George Bush; and Obama has roughly the same policies as Kerry and Gore.

But yet, the racist Latinos voted more for Obama than they did for either Kerry or Gore and more than Clinton during his first term.

Now as far as the primaries, only a psychopath like you would reduce everything to race. It can't be that The Clintons were very popular in the Latino community....,nope it has to be because Latinos hate blacks.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/adriancarra...istory-with-latinos-and-theres-not#.pp6wNNw4N

The same Latinos that turn around and vote 70% for a black man.

You are giving Gundam a run for his money when it comes to pure unhinged craziness when race is brought up.

connections and endorsements, and not just name recognition against the ascendant but unknown Obama, that helped Clinton with Latinos in 2008. Her deep network of influential local and state leaders included former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who crisscrossed California for her, and Henry Cisneros from Texas, a longtime Latino leader who served in Bill Clinton's cabinet.

They also say Latinos did well during her husband's presidency.

"Latinos fondly remember the Clinton years from an economic perspective," said Democratic strategist Jose Parra, who worked for Harry Reid. "Older folks have prosperous memories from the Clinton terms."

"Rarely have Hispanics prospered economically like they did under the Clinton administration, which transferred goodwill and good feelings," Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi said, noting that 2008 was the first year the Hispanic vote was competed for in a major way.

Michael Trujillo, a field director for Clinton in North Carolina, California, and Texas in 2008, who now serves as a senior adviser to Ready for Hillary, said a nostalgia effect exists for some Latino voters when it comes to the Clintons because in 1992 and particularly in 1996, recipients of Ronald Reagan's amnesty that allowed more than 3 million undocumented immigrants to stay in the country legally, were able to cast their first votes — and they did so for Bill Clinton.

But, nah nuance is too much for psychopaths. Everything has to come down to Latinos hatred of blacks.

i dont really get your stupidity, the article clearly states that mccain had moved his position on immigration in 2008, he had the same position as bush in 2007, then he flip flopped, do you know how to read?

the nugget you found is not nugget, it just shows another mccain flip flop

and for a voter for whom immigration reform was a big issue, it would obviously be a no brainer who was pro immigrant and that mccain had obviously moved away from bush, even if you are too stupid to realize that, latinos did realize that

But yet, the racist Latinos voted more for Obama than they did for either Kerry or Gore and more than Clinton during his first term.

bush was pro immigrant when he ran against kerry and gore
