Nah. They talked in the same range as now but with southern dialects being thicker and more regionally distinct. These Bluesmen were all born in the 1880-1890's

And it radiates in every photo. Im literally overwhelmed with pride and admiration, knowing they were in worse times and beamed with intelligence, class, strength and peace.
