No prob, I feel you. That is a tremendous point. He could havve a resume of 6 scoring titles, 2 championships, 2 finals MVPs and about three reg season MVPs. Pretty formidable resume. Narrative around him changes, considerably. He still would have to deal with the perception that he was spoonfed by Stockton and the reality of his inappropriate relations with an underaged girl.My bad. I just remember the one that MJ took offense to. MJ might be kind of right. They were just tired of giving it to him. Lebron knows how that feels.
My larger point was that if MJ never picked up a basketball, Malone might be today's GOAT. Now he's not even mentioned because he was always 2nd to Jordan. It would be Karl's face all over that pic. But instead he's not even there.
There are about 40 players in league history with career averages of over 22 points per game. Health and longevity is the primary skill most of them lacked in regards to their overall scoring numbers
Adrian Dantley and Alex EnglishI have no idea who 81 and 83 is and I'm too lazy to google.
That's why he the GOATEven more impressive:

Prisoner of the moment fans are underrating Mike. Leading the league in scoring while being all world defensively >>>>>
Only player ever to average 30 (37ppg), lead the league in scoring, win DPOY (3.6 steals/1.6 blocks), and win MVP in the same season.
