phil out here doing zen and trying to play mind games with all these free agents and they are just simply going to other teams:wow:

:francis: True

Part of me thinks he wants the knicks to shed the reputation that they will always over pay by giving out cheap deals and they they will always give away picks by demanding picks in every trade. Keep in mind those are usually the keys to success in the league.

:patrice:Its like he is the AntiDolan

Ah well I hope they use that 2.8 for somebody decent cause outside the rooks the bench looks real suspect:francis:

Not that Ndour was nice but fukk he looked better than Ledo, Lance, The Greek, etc, etc:francis:

I saw it suggested at Realgm's forum that maybe they keep the exception to see what happens when players get waived in season. Most of the teams will be capped out, so if a player hits waivers we'll be able to use the 2.8 to outbid everybody on a player that hits the market. With the slim pickings left, that's not a bad plan though I think Andre Miller is still interesting as a target and Carlos Boozer would automatically be the best rebounder we have with some scoring ability (though his defense is non existent, he's not smart and I don't really care to add him but he fits a need).

:whoa:I got enough bulls friends that used to complain about boozer. Don't need that over here

do you realize how dumb it is to tell an allstar free agent who is willing to meet with your 17 win team that you no longer want him cause he doesn't want to spend the next 5 years of his life playing out of his natural position?
you realize how dumb it is to say "nah we good with robin lopez " instead

you realize how crazy it is that this wasn't communicated before free agency began?

There's logic to it, people might not agree with the approach and focus on fitting the pieces perfectly because it can definitely mean missing out on sure talent but there's a logic to it.

The way Phil Jackson spurned the NBA's biggest free agent is actually a great sign for the Knicks

This is a decent article
But melo should not be playing the 4
It's asking for him to get hurt

If Lopez and kris are up front I don't see why there can not be spacing

Amare is a bad example cause he was always hurt
