I don't want Robert Lopez for that price though :francis:

And I sure hope that it ain't no long term deal either, nikka :francis:
Exactly why is everyone praising this potential signing . Lopez is a good role player sure but isn't Monroe making only like 3 milllion more a year if he gets 12-13? And he's older than Monroe .

Maybe 8-9 mil a year. He made a lil over 5 last year, and I got a lil spoiled with the Afflalo deal.

Not sure what price y'all think we would get him at. 12/per is realistic and market value.

Asik got $60/5 and only averaged 3 more rebounds than Lopez last season. Lopez averaged 3 more points and almost 2 more blocks per game.

Malta talking about 6'9 Bismack who only averaged 5pts per game last season will get 12

Tyson got 13/per

The only center to get 6/per is Brandan Wright. Lopez outscores and out rebounds him

I know he wasnt our ideal signing but that number seems fair

Centers who can protect the rim and get you 10-12 points a game is not gonna be cheap.

If you're waiting for the market to come down, its not happening. The cap is gonna be $108 million in 2 years, salaries are just gonna go higher from here.

Lopez would be a nice Center for you guys, and that price is not terrible IMO

After the cap bump thats equivalent to 8-9 mill/year. Not a bad deal for a 7 foot rim protector in his prime. Give him 35 mins a night and he'll put up 11 9 2blocks on 55% shooting

I'd throw the rest of the money at Rondo on a 1 year deal.:manny:
I still think there's a 5% chance he somehow regains his 2012 form where he was a legit top 10 player in the league.
Might as well take that gamble, Knicks have nothing to lose.

Philly got a first rounder and Stauskas just taking on 13 mil(Carl Landray and Thompson).
It wouldn't shock me if New Orleans makes a push to sign Durant, so a deal like the following would make sense

New Orleans trades: Tyreke Evans and a top 20 protected pick
Knicks trade: Ledo

Theres more possible deals like that to make in the next coming years.

I have a strong feeling that the Knicks lineup will be

Calderon / Afflalo / Melo / Lee / Lopez
