Better to tell your own story rather than die and have them fukk it up like PAC, Biggie, Eazy E, etc.
Those brothers had no idea they were on death's door, still in their primes :manny:

Pharrell is at the point where he knows he has to document his shyt though.

I wish more artists would take the time to make a real informal doc as well tho, no entertainment/drama shyt, straight up facts and real footage like a biography you'd see in school, that stuff is gonna be necessary when hip hop culture really gets into the history books of schools

Jeezy had a pretty good documentary for TM103 that was narrated by Samuel L Jackson and had his family in it that got pretty deep. Defintely agree that more artist should do this

that's kind of close to what i mean

Virgil was prolly the only artist who was truly transparent enough to make the kind of doc im talking about, that man had ZERO issues opening up his own book of ideas to the public and really showing how he was cooking up shyt and handling deals with people

The only problem is doing it for real, with perspective, and not necessarily doing it for your own ego, playing a character

A guy like rick ross has undeniably become a legend in hip hop history and yet we'll never really know his story and his trials and tribulations in the industry because he has to play a character, he pigeon holed himself into a permanent corner

Not necessarily, yea the immature fans will be mad at it, but him explaining how he came up with the character that turned his career around is a realistic conversation alot of artists have :manny: no different from when Beyonce comes up with personas for projects

I forgot he had that whole Renzel era :dead: yea he definitely needs to do this

Nah I mean, because he plays the character permanently I don't think he'll tell the real story of how he came up with his character

He'd probably tell ducktales instead about how the real noreaga owes him 100 favors :mjlol:

Oh yea that's just his own ego at play

But yea that's the MAIN thing that's gonna hold rap history back in general and let cacs rewrite it, these nikkas can't help but cap, be petty, make everything about them.

A nikka like Fat Joe should be banned from entering anything on the hip hop culture Wikipedia page

Thanks for sharing. I’ll definitely book a flight once it’s completed. Haven’t been to Virginia Beach in over 20 years.
Still looks the same besides the giant 2 block hole in the ground in the middle of the strip with giant pictures of this nikkas face wrapped around the fence
