Montana didn't help Young
Favre didn't help Rogers

Wtf would manning help oswriler

Maybe cause he wants his team to win a game, Osweiler ain't written to supplant him or anything.

He stepped in cause Manning was trash.

Alex Smith helped Colin Kaepernick, because that's what a professional athlete should do, help a team mate if you can.

Because truth is, dudes gonna look at Manning sideways when he does come back, because he wasn't about the team, he was about himself

and that's some fukk boy shyt.

and are you seriously wondering what Peyton could help his back up QB with? You serious?

Exactly, that made Favre a piece of shyt and Montana a bitter fukk.

I love Joe, but he still wont be seen in public with Steve, that's petty as fukk and i don't respect that. And Joe is the God QB, but still, petty as fukk and weak minded.

Here's my problem with it. Do I think it's Peyton's job to help Brock? No. I don't. I do see backup QBs especially veterans help out the younger QB all the time and that's cool that they do that but I don't feel it's a requirement.

The real issue is how it's reported. Nobody will really say too much about Peyton. Nobody will accuse him of not being a team player. That's not a talking point you will hear on any of these pregame shows etc..

But then you look at a guy like Barry Bonds. He wanted to be left alone. He did his job. In the clubhouse he sat in the corner by himself. He was CRITICIZED for doing this for not being "part of the team" because he didn't chill with everyone else and give them advice. Even though when asked some of the black players did say that Barry would give them advice here and there.

Peyton doesn't help the young QB, but it's not reported as him not being a team player. You won't hear a lot of that.

Ain't about helping somebody "take your job" or "not his job to help the QB" but here's a dude who's about to make his first NFL start and you are a damn near 20 year vet and one of the best QB's ever.....you reach out to your fellow teammate and help him out or at least give em some sort of support. Give him some sort of advice. This is bullshyt on Peyton part.

Exactly and if manning was a black QB they would eat him alive for this shyt.

It's being reported as t hat right now, read the article by Chadiha, it very much is alluding to him being a dikk for not being involved at all, it's on the front page on NFL.com

But i agree i don't think mass media will excoriate him like they would do others, they never go at Peyton hard, he's so protected by media at all costs

the thing is with baseball its mostly an individual game. a bum wont be able to hit like Barry even when getting his advice (although ask Brandon Crawford- Barry helped him get that power year this year) because he lacks his skillset

football is a pure team game. you cant be super selfish unless youre a hall of famer. and peyton is that, but still...thats just a bytch move by old ass qbs who still feel competitive even though theyre old as shyt and on last legs. jeff garcia was the same and he was far from manning and favre.

Your mentality is as a fan

If 2 previous hof's weren't wiling to help other hof's why would manning do it?

I know manning has this good image but he's a azz behind the cameras

It won't gain any traction is what I'm saying. One guy writing a story is nothing. If people on air on ESPN and on FOX etc. are blasting Peyton over this I will be VERY surprised.

I agree 100%.

Favre never caught much flack for this shyt with Rodgers either
thats because rodgers was a high pick and was good from the time he started to start. I mean a year or two in his career youd be hard to pressed what favre does better than arod :manny:
