It seems news sources organizations have lost their credibility. They get stories wrong to.The main issue is fact checking and reputation… influencers can just spew shyt with no accountability or penalty
Edit: with news sources that have been around for years, they have a reputation to maintain and also don't want to risk losing credibility.. At a point in time, this mattered in society.

True, the last 8 years they have taken a step down. Not all, but as a whole. The thing is, they would usually correct themselves by making an edit to an article or would acknowledge during a segment. I agree, but the reason they go to them in the first place is the news media has lost credibility.Influencers are no more credible
Also, political bias has really hurt them. They may not lie but downplaying certain stories while amplifying others based on the news organizations political lean is also a credibility losing tactic and it's rather rampant especially nowadays.True, the last 8 years they have taken a step down.
