The anti smarks are even cornier and nerdier than the smarks because that takes even more energy and effort to be so contrarian. That goes on here too
A lot of them don't even like wrestling.

Because War Machine is

A) Two people
B) From a company that has been owned by a brodcasting company for years and therefore isnt an indy.

Also hes is supposed to be a journalist so he is supposed to look these things up before shooting his mouth off.

Rosenberg comes off like such a geek trying to be in the cool crowd and gets sonned in EVERY instance. Sam Roberts, say what you want about him, at least knows his shyt.

The bolded is the crux of the issue. You can be silent and let people think you're a fool or open your mouth and remove all doubt. If he's gonna speak on WWE talent in *any* capacity, as an employee and representative of the company he needs to know wtf he's talking about. That's just what that is. All he had to do was give some generic, diplomatic answer like "I'm not really familiar with War Machine but the WWE only signs the best so I'm excited to see what happens."

Plus, even if he feels like fans who follow all wrestling have no life and he's not into the indies, there's a substantial part of WWE's fanbase that *does* follow a lot of different companies and would potentially feel slighted by that comment. Plus, there's a bunch of current talent that comes from those ranks and who were over immediately *because* a large part of the base was already familiar w/them from their indy work (see AJ Styles).

What's extra ridiculous about this whole thing is that dude works in media. He should know better.

All that may be true and he could have done some research first. I get that but fans take themselves and the business too seriously. Just because they think his job is to know or care about everything it doesn’t mean that actually his job nor should people expect everyone to care and be invested as much as they are. Point is people hated him before he ever said or did anything wrong. Because he got the job they always wanted imo. And I don’t really care for rosenberg either

Wasn't Roseberg also exposed for not even watching WWF back in the day?

Guy is the most pathetic fraud I've ever seen in my life. Hip hop is his main gig and he constantly get's exposed for lack of knowledge, so I can only imagine how limited his awareness of wrestling is, even mainstream WWE shyt.

I don't like Sam Roberts either, but at least you can tell he was a wrestling stan from day one.

Shoemaker - Rosenberg's buddy - made a damn career out of it and even got a prominent role in a fukking HBO Andre The Giant documentary. Yet people let him pass because the horrible mistakes he makes - even though he's supposedly an "historian" - are not that known to casual fans. Rosenberg did pretty much the same shyt but with War Machine/New Japan, which has only been more known for 3 years, if he says it in 2011 no one would say anything about it.

The fat jew is honest about his WWE stannery and how much of an annoying blowhard he is as a fan, giving a shyt about what he thinks it's like giving time and thought to Michael Rappaport's sports takes :russ: :manny:

He'd be fine if didnt try to make such an act of how people perceive him.
The Cheap Heat podcast has become fukking bad since he took the lead. They are episodes he openly would just play clips from his phone and not be invested. Shoemaker really was the fukking anchor of that show and Masked Man show is 10 times better than Cheap Heat now

All true but you can be a stan without being an ignorant douchebag about it. Amd if he was half as smart as he thinks hes being, hed realize that he is insulting WWE's own fanbase. Not many fans just watch wwe anymore as things are easier to see in the internet age. Thats why Owens sonned him amd thats coming from someone who went on record as saying he didnt like his brief time in japan as much.

I bet if this was Lio Rush saying this he would have got more flack too

My point is that we are not discovering anything new with Rosenberg in this instance. This is the shyt he does, being outraged or mad about it comes out weird to me because it's something I expect him to say :manny:

And to be honest, he's not THAT wrong about having no life if you follow WWE and indys AND overseas wrestling. Unless you are only watching selected matches and segments from each company, the amount of hours you have to spend to truly keep up with 3 or 4 promotions (including WWE) is insane in this day an age :heh: I think wrestling fans can get a little too defensive about it.

Rosenberg manages to come off as the guy who only got the job because his dad knows someone, in every thing he does.:scust:

He adds literally nothing of value to WWE or Hot 97.

I'm still lowkey disappointed no-one fukked him up for calling Chuck D a troll.

Nobody from NYC gonna do anything to him, just look at that rainbow haired cac and Fat Joe screaming the n word in all of their songs
