Pete Campbell on Mad Men went from being a real dyckhead to a real one

Re watched the 5th through finale during the first weeks of the "lockdown", and it was incredible. The last few seasons are by far my favorite. And, yes, to see Pete go from a detestable person, to someone struggling with self worth, validation, redemption, along with his one time idol, Don Draper, what a journey. His last scene in the finale summed it all up, and three seasons of straight comedy.

I like Pete because he was just ambitious.

Remember late on season 7, when his daughter was denied entry to some prep school, and he got into a century old feud with his family and another blue blood family, who massacred the deans?

And Pete said, dripping with duty and indignation, "The king ordered it"

Don was also pretty decent about race. Those two were the only ones disgusted by Roger's blackface shyt.

Pete is the one I sympathized with the most when it ended. Dude had a lot of unlikable qualities at the start, a fukkin slimeball he was really. But I liked how he changed for the better throughout the course of the show and became a lot more relatable towards the end. That personality glow-up was something crazy. It's one of the things I like about the show...people are complicated. You can be good, you can also be bad, and you can grow.

The nicer his personality got, the farther his hairline receded it seemed.

Harry Crane on the other hand...yikes. Dude got worse and worse. Breh was on his Weinstein type shyt.

Harry was such a straight laced dork in the beginning but dude turned scumbag hella fast.
