damn are y'all really THAT scared of him staying in LA...:pachaha:

:beli:

Yes, Yes. Other teams are so afraid of the 6-7 Lakers right now and the potential of a non-athletic non-free throw shooting or low post game having Dwight Howard is going to stay in LA. No it's obvious that he is not healthy, but that locker room is not his "type".

Kobe is a cancer when his team is losing. Dwight isn't built for that. He is not getting touches like he should. Dude looked at Kobe as he walked off the court like :wtf:. Pau is having "enough" of it as he is constantly involved in trade rumors. His coach is blasting him in public. I don't care what no one says, it will affect you.

He's not going to sign for the minimum to play in Brooklyn. There's no way they can sign him after taking that Joe Johnson contract.

Sign and trade my man. Hes a max type player. No reason for him to sign for a penny less.

38 years old with a leg injury? :heh:

I'm positive it's worse than they say it is.

He'll be back. It didnt look bad when he injured it. He'll lose a step for now but i expect him to be back in a month if not sooner

I personally think That Dallas was a clear option for Dwight but he opted in which favored us Nets in the end. DWill most likely would have convinced Dwight to head there instead of Brooklyn.

We escape on that one :whew:

Since the Nets can't offer him the max i can't see him going anywhere but LA. Unless they just implode this season and he sees the team as a sinking ship this is the best option for him. The Lakers always find a way to contend and find talent. No doubt when Kobe leaves they will find a top tier perimeter player to pair with Dwight if he stays.

Why would the Lakers assist in getting Dwight to go somewhere else AND be paid handsomely in the process?

Acquiring Brook Lopez on a max deal isn't gonna go over well with Lakers fans.

they will be in contention cap wise. I don't think he wants the burden of being the next star after Kobe and doubt he wants to waste his prime years on a rebuilding process

Him OJ, and Collison :ooh: plus Dirk will prolly sign for less money...

OJ and Collison would get more money than what Dallas could offer by then, especially in Collison's case.
If they signed Dwight outright, one of OJ or Collison would guaranteed be out the door.

This.

Dwight will either have to either stay in a rebuilding LA once Kobe leaves, take his ass to Dallas or go to whatever scrub team offers him big money.

He has to go to Brooklyn.

He made too big of a stink about it in Orlando for him not to. He will lose all credibility if he goes anywhere else.

Plus We need him to go to Brooklyn so it will send a clear warning to all owners in the future: Never trade for a player when they made it clear they wanna be elsewhere.

:wtf:

You can, but only if you're not paying the luxury tax. Even without Dwight, I think LA is screwed in that regard as is Brooklyn, so they couldn't S&T with each other, let alone with anyone else.

The problem with OJ and Collison is that Collison's an RFA and Mayo has a player option that will pay him much less than what the market will bear for him, especially if he keeps playing like this. Both of those players still technically cut into their cap unless their rights are renounced. If Collison gets a nice offer from someone else very early in free agency, then it makes everything that much more difficult.

Marion has an ETO where he can opt out of his deal, but why would he leave $9 mil on the table?
