Personal Trainers? what's your outlook for the future?

I've always thought trainers were more for accountability and motivation as opposed to someone actually needing help figuring out how to work out. A large percentage of the population won't do anything unless someone is right behind them telling them to do it. Its literally how we were all taught to learn in school.

I agree I just find it such a waste of time if you arent being trained by a specialist...for some special shyt. Got people getting trained on the doing the most basic of shyt making zero progression. I think most just like the social aspect and if they are using a trainer they can feign like they are doing something. Not to say some trainers are cold, but for the most part google is your friend.

There is definitely a therapist aspect there. I swear some of the clients at my gym spend more time stretching and talking than training. I can’t even knock the trainers for the hustle.

it's for all of that. there's way too much conflicting information on exercise and nutrition, it's easy to confuse even intermediate fitness folks, let alone someone just starting out. workout 3/5/6/7 days? do full body or splits? circuits/supersets or one exercise at a time? focus on compounds only or add accessory work? HIIT or LISS? CICO vs Keto vs IF? if you can find a trainer that puts you on the path toward your goal without you spending endless months in trial and error, it's worth it, especially for women who seem to struggle with ramping up a weight training program.

Having trained female noobs myself before, nothing is worse than working with someone who doesn't really want to train. It's like trying to wipe up a spill with a towel that's already wet. Nothing worse than somebody who claims they want to change but doesn't have the right attitude to make it happen. :mindblown:
