I played Persona 3 after 4 and I think its just as good. Maybe not as polished but that comes with the territory obviously.

I think most people's problem with P3 comes because they played P4 first. Like I cant call P3 a good game, but you just miss so much between the two that you just can't give an appropriate rating

Of course. I played Persona 4 Golden just off the acclaim the PS2 version got. I played Resident Evil 2 for the exact same reason. Mortal Kombat 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Bayonetta 2, etc. What's so hard to comprehend? There are plenty of people who never played a game in a series before, but start with the next one because of the hype the previous one got
There are hardcore Street Fighter fans that got MKX just off the strength of MK9
Should I go on?

If money ain't a thang go ahead. I paid $100 for it six months ago and it was well worth the time and I'm usually the Best Buy GCU tipster.

This was my problem with it. Played P4G first and then tried P3P afterward and was OK with it at first but Tartarus just killed it for me. Felt like I was playing that dungeon forever and ever. Boring music, boring enemies, boring look, etc. And I understand the portable version was gimped but the console versions had AI controlled party members
