i watched the trailers. look at the footage of that palace with the chandeliers. you can tell its the same bullshyt as P4G. going from room to room and floor to floor, all of which look the same. ill make a coli bet with you that the dungeon format will be fundamentally the same, except it will look better graphically

like i said, people look past the mediocre gameplay because they like the characters, music and the gay ass dating sim
:ehh:

Geez someone shytting on Persona in a Persona thread , calling it's music wack, saying "When did this place turn into Gaf" because someone was talking about how good it was to them, and vehemently trying to throw shade on a highly anticipated JRPG isn't a fanboy??

You've shown your cards already, you're a FF stangirl. I don't care if you're getting Persona 5, stop trying to throw stones and hide your hands. I like FFXV but this unnecessary shaming of liking persona because it's not called FFXV was started by YOU breh, in a Persona thread. So

with that "im done with you" shyt. You came in here first and threw shade nikka.

i beat P4G front to back, takes very little skill compared to FFXIII where you actuall yhave to strategize what party members to use, roles to play, how to approach opponents, etc,.

P4G gets fanfare not for the RPG portion but for the dating sim shyt and people looking for their waifus
Oh come on. The main criticism of ff13 was that it didn't involve enough interaction or strategy on behalf of the player. A lot of aspects about the battle system was very hands off outside of pressing the x button. P4G has it beat as it relates to strategy even though later in the game if you grind enough and build your personas up it becomes easy. still persona throws additional challenges at your to make up for this like the reaper and Margaret fights.

Yeah, I can't front, I love SMT games, but once you figure out the battle system, it should be smooth sailing.

Basically, just get the first move and hit weaknesses for trash mobs and you should be good. Buffs/debuffs are only for boss battles and thats it.

However, DO NOT let the enemy hit your weakness or it's game over more often than not :francis:

You do know when they're talking about a summer 16 release date that's for Japan right? The game has to be localized which will likely take months.

This ain't Square Enix with the global release dates. They're a much smaller company and team.

A 3-4 month turnaround would be impressive.
They may be trying to do a world wide release. I saw somewhere where a person claiming to be a us Altus employee stated they were working on the game as we speak and voice talent and everything is already lined up. Don't know if this was real but the tone of it sounded legit.

It would make sense since apparently the real killer identity leaked before it came to the states in persona 4 and they probably want to prevent that type of spoiling from happening again.

Yeah but he was comparing this to ff13. Ff13 takes the cake as far easiness of the battle system.

Below is a summary of ff13 battle system.

except you're leaving out the part where if you don't have the right paradigm setup you'll lose your battles.
I'm half joshing. However, its just odd to use FF13 as an example of a good battle system when I remember explicitly when it came out, outside of the linear nature of the maps, people were ragging on the somewhat automated nature of some aspects of the battle system. Though like I said, in Persona, I agree that after you either grind enough or get the right combination of personas, the game is cake. Especially later in the game. Though if I had to choose between the two, I still think Persona requires a bit more strategy. I haven't played FF13 since it first came out so maybe I'm not remembering it as well as I think I do.

Final Fantasy XIII doesn't allow for grinding. You have to observe the enemy and adjust accordingly. Since you only have 6 paradigm slots with 3 characters and different characters have different proficiencies at the paradigms you have to adjust depending on what you need at the time. With Persona once you fuse certain personas and are at the correct level the game is easy. The catch is that you can't get many of the most useful Personas until much later in the game.

I saw far more game over screens in XIII than Persona 3 or 4. At the same time if you already know the correct paradigm setups there's no real challenge to XIII. Once you have the right setups and shift properly you won't lose.
