The Simpsons is still doing 4 million a week on Fox in 2018, 30 years deep.

They are asking this exciting new product they paid a billion dollars for, to hit a lower number than a animated show which is quite a way past it's prime, and right now it's not looking likely.

Losing viewers year after year isn’t a work. Total viewers going down steadily is a reality.

Your last sentence is where you get worked by Meltzer and Alvarez and them. They take facts, then work you into thinking the reason the facts are happening is because they’re heels who don’t care what you think and don’t push the guys you like, so anytime ratings drop is reacted to here like a baby face comeback by the fans against heel WWE.

WWE not gaining new fans, especially on Fridays... Little kids will be playing fortnite, 20-somethings will be out, 30 somethings doing date night, 40+ will think it's too juvenile....

In theory, it shouldn't be a problem. A lot of people have cut cable but you can get FOX with just a digital antenna so they should really be getting around 4 million.

Right now Last Man Standing and The Cool Kids are getting over 4 million viewers on FOX in the dead of December. They're only competition would be whatever CBS is showing but those shows don't even get the same 18-49 demo that Smackdown gets on cable.

The problem isnt that they're on cable the problem is the shows are at best redundant and at worst are complete dogshyt. Rearrange deck seats on the titanic all you want but if the show doesnt change people will find other shyt to watch(some already have). Imagine someone downloading the Fox app just to watch Smackdown

I’m with you, I’m just saying in theory they should expect more when they already have shows getting more than 4 million viewers now. We all know they’ll be on FS1 by like 2021.

I don’t see how anything above 2 is even realistic.

It’s on a Friday night, even the ones who still club and bar hop, don’t usually leave until past 11, but their main target are kids and families.

And for most Friday night is family night, whether it’s a family dinner at a restaurant, going to the movies or movie and game night.
