Congregating aimlessly isn't constructive in my opinion. I personally don't spend any extended amount of time around friends or family unless there's a plan for me being there. Yesterday I spent the morning with 6 other Black people hosting a podcast, we had great discourse but once it was over, I dipped. I reject all invitations to "hang out" or "chill", because I don't see any value in doing anything that's unplanned as it's next to impossible to approximate the potential value in doing anything unplanned. "we might have a profound discussion" isn't enough for me.

"we need to start loving each other", define what this means because in the Black community, "love" is why children are allowed to be abused by sick family members because "they just aint right in the head but they still family, just don't leave your children alone with them". Black people aren't serious about love as it relates to the community. Love is tough and more than getting together to barbecue and two step. love is tough and requires discipline, it requires selflessness. You and many other Black people's ideas for change equate to more of the same bullshyt that hasn't worked.

You want feel good solutions, you don't want solutions that require work or require putting in work. I'm actually active in my community, I'm in the hood and make more than enough money to live in a far better area of the city but in spite of that I stay, I'm the vice president of my neighborhood's civic club, I go to high school's free of charge and speak to Black and Latino youth about the importance of education. You nikkas want Disney solutions and Disney rhetoric.
