When I first introduced my children to school I started off my flexi learning so 3 days in school and 2 days homeschooling
After integrating them jnto school full time we found an Afrocentric Saturday school which really did cover a broad range from Math to Music



No way can u expect a system designed by your oppressors to uplift them you really gotta go the extra mile raising black children in this atmosphere

yeah I never got this. Your "oppressor" should not be teaching you who you are, that is a family and ethnic group responsibility (family teach your linage history, ethnic group teach your role in society and the history of the group).

I`m not siding with Devils but public school should focus on Math/Sciences/Civics/National Language (I preface that statement as Devils tend to make similar arguments but not in good faith).

People can grow up and admit Santa is fake but when presented with evidence are still racist as shyt lol, you can't shame people with no soul into seeing humanity, the best you can do is have systematic safe guards to protect/punish people.

As a educator that has been working for Chicago Public Schools for the last 16 years I can honestly say that one of the main problems that our people face is the lack of importance of BASIC education, Reading comprehension, writing…that’s it , they can not read y’all, I work before and after school to help our babies, I’m almost burnt out due to no backing from parents , I work with 6th thru 8th , I really love my people, on here I troll and Joke a lot but…this right here I can talk about all day , schools are just passing kids, I went to Saturday school at university of Chicago back in 98-99 when I was in 7th and 8th grade , it helped me to get into Whitney Young, I got kicked out for fighting but that’s another story , this comment is right about not depending on schools, we still have to be prepared to actually work in the schools as well.
